Over the last two years, the idea of “Portfolio”, in its many forms, has occupied a larger percentage of my brain space than I care to admit.
Admidst a rapidly evolving job market, the rise in AI and boom in “career” creators, both forms of the term “Portfolio” - Portfolio as in career and Portfolio as in record of work - are becoming increasingly common amongst professionals. Increasingly the Portfolio is becoming both the record of the work and the shape of the career. The question we are asked most often is: “how do I get started on my portfolio?”
It comes particularly from professionals navigating this new norm, those entering the workforce or burnt out people seeking professional emancipation, if you will.
