This policy explains what personal information Ponnd Pty Ltd ("Ponnd", "we", "us") collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It covers both people who create a Ponnd account and people who visit a portfolio someone has built with Ponnd.

Information we collect
When you create an account and build your portfolio, we collect:

Your name, email address, and profile photo, provided through Google sign-in.
•
Profile content you add or import — your bio, work history, links and similar details. Some of this may be imported from your LinkedIn profile or extracted from a CV you upload.
•
Images you upload for your profile photo and portfolio.
•
Settings you choose, such as timezone and location.
When someone visits a portfolio built with Ponnd, we may collect:
•
Their email address, if the portfolio owner has switched on the email gate and the visitor enters it to view the portfolio.
•
Usage analytics about how pages are viewed, to power portfolio insights.
A note on CV uploads
If you upload a CV to help build your profile, the file is processed in memory to extract your details and is then discarded. We do not store the original CV file anywhere — only the structured profile information you choose to keep.
How your images are stored
The images you upload — your profile photo and your portfolio images — are stored with our storage provider (Cloudflare R2) and served over the internet through a direct link. Each link contains a long, random identifier that is not published or guessable.
Because the image file is served by that public link, setting your portfolio to private hides the portfolio page but does not switch off a direct image link that someone already holds. In practice, an image you previously made visible could still be opened by anyone who has its exact link, even after you set your portfolio to private. We are working to bring image access fully in line with your portfolio's privacy setting.
When you delete your account, all of your images are permanently removed from storage.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:

Create your account and let you sign in.
•
Build, host and display your portfolio.
•
Show portfolio owners insights about visits to their portfolio.
•
Keep the service secure and diagnose problems.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run Ponnd. They only process data on our instructions:
•
Google — for sign-in and identity.
•
Apify — to import a LinkedIn profile you ask us to import.
•
Anthropic (Claude) — to read a CV or profile you provide and extract its details.
•
Cloudflare (R2) — to store and serve your uploaded images.
•
PostHog — for product and portfolio analytics, including session recordings of how you use the app (text you type into fields is masked).
•
Sentry — for error and crash monitoring.
Where a portfolio owner uses the email gate, the email addresses visitors enter are shared with that portfolio owner, who becomes responsible for how they use them.

International transfers
Some of our service providers are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers to protect it.
How long we keep it

Account information and portfolio content are kept for as long as your account exists, and deleted when you delete your account.
•
Visitor email addresses captured by a portfolio are kept until the portfolio owner's account is deleted.
•
Uploaded CV files are never retained (see above).
•
Analytics and error logs are kept for a limited period in line with our providers' retention settings.
Your rights
You can:
•
Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings — this removes your profile, images, captured visitor emails and analytics records.

Edit or correct your profile and account details in the app.
•
Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by emailing

Cookies and analytics
We use analytics to understand how Ponnd and the portfolios built with it are used. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
